I think its the "Country Club" Republicans. You know, the elitists. The ones who put their bottomline ahead of their country. Changing the entire demographic and cultural lines of this country doesn't matter so long as the cheap labor increases their profits. It's the same kind of mindset most slave owners had. They didn't care about the cost the country was going to eventually pay when slavey ended. Their short term profit margins were more important. The internationalists, who can hop on their private planes or yachts and go to another location after this place is brought to ruin, are the real traitors. Most religous folks I know love this country and are deeply concerned about its future.
As for Bill Clinton not going to war in Iraq, look at the outcome in Somalia. We lost over a dozen troops in one incident and he pulled out of there faster than he did Monica. Bosnia and Kosovo were high altitude bombing missions. The man didn't have the fortitude to get involved with a real war. He pushed it off onto the next person in office.
