The scary thing is not that the left is painting out McCain as some far right warmonger. It's not that the left and folks here demonstrate the historic literacy of a group of 10 year olds. It's not that McCain and Obama are both dithering politicians unworthy of a mayorship, much less a Presidency.

The scary thing is that even knowing the US is doomed and headed for the fastest decline since the fall of Rome, there is nothing even someone who knows how it's going to come down can do about it to avert it, or even slow it down. All one can do is save oneself and one's family.

Listening in to this thread feels like what it felt to hear the last Romans wish ill on their legions and welcome a deal with the barbarians. They were utterly clueless as to their imminent demise.

Don't worry, I won't bother to try and convince you. You'll all get to find out the consequences of historic ignorance by yourselves.
