Thats right, TB. Its no big deal that the market is back where it was 9 years ago. It doesn't matter that the ~8k trough was 6 years ago. Its no big deal that the Dollar is at relative lows not seen in my lifetime. Its no big deal that the Fed is doing the fractional reserve banking system equivalent of 'printing money' to try to paper over the financial crisis. Its no big deal that we are nationalizing loss and privatizing wealth. Its no big deal that the middle class is in a ten-year decline. Its no big deal.

And if we break that 8k trough, will we be in trouble then? Will we be in trouble at 4k?

Or do we need to be starving to death and migrating to refugee camps before its a problem?

No, I suspect we'll be doomed on Jan 9 2009. And not a minute before then.
