yes, because the historians and texts of China at some point in time listed Tibet as a tributary of the Middle Kingdom, it therefore belonged to the middle Kingdom and thus China? By the same logic, China is a Province of the British Empire. Or perhaps Mongolia? They of course have the earlier claim... If its good for the Goose....

Petty nationalism used to justify the use of an iron fist on the will of other peoples is just as ugly, regardless of the language, creed or color of the fist.

I've seen a lot of this propaganda pop up across the web, usually by anonymous posters, as the olympics near.
