Obama backpedaling implies that being in Iraq is saving us from $7 gas? Thats your argument this time? So thats different than your prior (nonsensical) assertions for one, and for another- you are actually arguing 'Obamas so Smart and principled, that he must be right!'.... A man you have derided and lambasted and scoffed out... His wisdom is the underpinning of your current case?

Obama does not want us out for the same reason, probably, that I don't want us out- Iraq would devolve into genocidal mess that would quite possibly bring about a larger regional war. Essentially, we f-d up, we have to either fix it or at least do what we can to keep our errors from causing a catastrophe. Thats not savvy foreign policy, or somehow fighting to keep america out of that dark night. It is what Powell said: We broke it, we own it.

And again- Iraqi oil is meaningless in the computation of the current price americans pay for gasoline. All empirical and logical evidence is against you.
