And if there's anyone who’s Catholic who feels offended by the question, then I would only say, too bad, wake yourself up to the reality of a very, very serious problem in your Church, this sickness among the Catholic clergy – and by all means never leave your son alone with a priest!

The Catholic Archdiocese of Boston is in the grips of a major scandal (well, I guess it would or could be a scandal only if the Catholic Church took child molestation seriously, which it doesn’t) and almost daily revelations about the scope of this evil infesting the Catholic Church are horrifying lay people and the public at large.

Child molesters among Catholic Priests

Under intense pressure, the Archdiocese is prepared to give information on no fewer than 50 former priests who were child molesters. There’s no telling how many current priests are sexually abusing children. In nearly all cases, the Church quietly transfers the pedophile priests to another church, in a different locale, and the offender very rarely faces criminal charges. And the course the priest starts preying upon boys in his new church…

The problem of pedophile priests is so bad the Catholic Church has even had to set up treatment centers for sexually abusive priests, such as the St. Luke Institute. Unfortunately, the Catholic Church wrongly considers it an internal matter (a sin not a crime), and still stubbornly refuses to cooperate with civil authorities in providing information and allowing criminal prosecution of these offenders.
