Good luck on a son--I have one of each and it's great.
When the kids were younger, we had a young woman with her own family who took care of our kids in her home on those days when neither of us could be home the entire day. We did not want to put our kids in any kind of "formal" or institution-style day care center.
This woman, Charlotte, was a LDS member, and we were quite enthusiastic about getting her. She was referred to us by our previous day-care woman, who was also a member of LDS, and was moving on to other work. Around here in California, LDS members are very highly prized as caregivers.
I work at home now, and we no longer need Charlotte's services as a caregiver, but she is very close to our family and has a career now as a professional psychologist at our local schools. We attended the baptism of her son at the local LDS church. My kids were disappointed that their friend got the fun complete immersion treatment while our church only piddles a bit of water on the baby, and were of the opinion that adopting full-immersion baptism for older kids would greatly improve the Lutheran church.
The LDS is a major center in this country for support of family values, and I think the country is better for it.
