Finally, a bit more rationalization in Europe!
It has to do with the fact that catholic priests cannot get married, therefore those with pedophile tendencies find a refuge among that institution.
And isn't it all about revering the child Jesus, in the first place?
We have a great number of similar cases here too, but not just among priests, also very much among male teachers (who are by definition in the presence of pupils).
One wonders: do those people become priests or teachers because of their deviant tendencies?
