Mary Anne, BSA is certainly not perfect
But it is the best Boy's organization that exists in this country.
My son and many of his friends have benefitted greatly from it.
The number of good people who have developed many habits and traits that they attribute to their time in Scouting is very large.
The hours of community service that the BSA puts in to communities across this country is unrivalled.
To condemn it out of hand because it legally applies standards that it has held since its inception is not reasonable.
I am a firm beleiver that it is unwise to destroy something unless you have some idea as to what should replace it.
There is nothing I am aware of to replace the BSA.
Did I meet people in the BSA whose religious views made me uncomfortable?
Yes. That happens in life.
