(and I left off the Anne only because the title was getting too long).
Planned Parenthood is officially a "non-profit" private organization but they get tax money in most states. Officially, the money is for non-abortion services but money is fungible. I don't have any say in that.
There are all sorts of "Beltway Bandit" private organizations that get public money. Many of them actively pursue things that are against my interests (e.g. pushing for tax increases or increased funding for their pet projects) but I don't have any say in that.
Organizations like Jesse Jackson's "Operation Rainbow" gets public money but I don't have any say about that either.
You don't like the fact that the Boy Scouts have access to public buildings? Tough. If I have to put up with those other organizations getting some of my tax dollars then unless you're a hypocrite, you should be willing to tolerate the Boy Scouts being able to choose who they want as Scout leaders.
To the best of my knowledge, the Boy Scouts don't directly receive any federal tax money. It's possible they receive tax money in some states but I don't know for certain one way or the other.
And eat some chicken soup. That's good for your sinuses.
