Ooh! Can't forget this one

"I also want to remind you that should we have to use troops, should it become a necessity in order to disarm him, the United States, with friends, will move swiftly with force to do the job. You don't have to worry about that. We will do what it takes militarily to succeed."

Buster, Tom etal:

So, all these quotes from the entire administration saying he had WMD and we needed to disarm him by force, a revision to our national defense policy in the weeks before the war that says the US will invade other nations on the basis of the existence of WMD, Bush himself saying we will invade to disarm him- and this war wasn't about WMD?

I'm really enjoying how up can be down and left can be right. This is great stuff.

And I am to understand that all of these emphatic statements about the posession of WMD are not false? Or are you going to say that the falshood was not intentional? That the leaders of the worlds only superpower could be this massively mistaken accross the board without even having the slightest hint that they were? That the bluster of a third world country that couldn't even domestically manufacture an 8-bit microcircut or a subsonic propeller plane completely snowed the worlds only superpower?

In that case, your defense lays upon an unprovable unobservable assertion: they didn't mean to lie (mommy). It just heppened. Really. Trust me. I'm a good Christian, I wouldn't lie...

How convinient. We are going to argue solely on the basis of motives that can only be subjectively self-reported.

Even if I grant you that they had a "widdle boo boo mommy!", How can you then defend your boy against charges of complete, unforgivable and total malpractice?

Its simple, its inescapable. Its either dishonesty or incompetence. So instead we try relativism and revisionism.
