Lets assume that the following is true:
The "six months to a nuclear weapon" bit is just one of these. Clipped carefully off this statement is the qualifier, "given access to weapons grade material."
With the qualifier, this statement is in fact true, and would be true for almost any technologically-capable nation. No yellowcake needed, no refining system, no huge centrifuge plants. Machine the fissile material, build it into a bomb, and there you go. The tech is out there, easily accessed, and you can hide the expert knowledge of how to do it a lot easier than you can hide a uranium refinement plant.
Italics mine.
If this is true why did we invade Iraq? Why not Iran, Syria, or even Japan or Germany?
They're all 6 months away from having a nuclear weapon!!!!!!!!!!!
If memory serves, it was not David Kay doing the rounds early this year drumming up support for war. It was Cheney here there and everywhere spouting about 6 months. Show me where he qualified his statement like you just did.
Your arguments get sillier for each passing moment WMD (or even a functioning nuclear program) is not found.
