You wrote off the trailers, after I patiently pointed out that they were not hydrogen generators, told why, and actually showed photos of the Marconi hydrogen generators (the company that shipped them to Iraq) to prove this.
You wrote off the huge portion of Kay's report showing WMD information and materials hidden around the nation.
You write off many other circumstantial pieces of evidence. Why are Iraqi scientists even now targeted for death? If there weren't any programs, where the hell are all the scientists coming from in the first place? What WAS hauled off to Syria in trucks in February of 2003?
And more importantly, you assigned no importance whatsoever to a consistent past pattern of seeking WMD, building and using them when they could, including a past history of successfully concealing such activity from the U.N. until after the Gulf War broke the nation open. Our dicking around with the United Nations for months gave Saddam plenty of time to clean up his act if he needed to.
And everybody is studiously ignoring the fact that regardless of the WMD found or not found, we have found plenty to show that Saddam was in gross violation of U.N. restrictions and resolutions, and was actively concealing these violations from the U.N. inspectors just prior to the war, which given the terms of the resolution was sufficient cause for action.
You have backed yourself into a corner of argument, where your entire position now rests on the hope that actual deployable weapons, or production facilities for them, are not ever found, or that no connection with al Qaeda (at least one acceptable to you) is ever made. You might want to ease back from the absolutes a bit.
