nd most of them involve the somewhat rarified concept of "analysis," i.e. altering parameters and trying to figure out what the results might have been had they been altered. As I've pointed out elsewhere, not a popular concept around here.
No, we like analysis just fine, just not impeneterable fantasy worlds custom-built to try to prove your point.
Just note how so many of those vaunted analysies of yours, when it comes to the prospect, justification and outcome of the war, have been ass-backwards wrong? Doesn't that even dent your gear-grinding rusty-hulk advance? Doesn't that give you any pause? What does it take for you to critically re-evaluate your base principles? Yeah, Yeah, I know, you spend HOURS doing research on the web. But I have a feeling you are really just doing research so you can argue your case, not critically evaluating that case itself. Ideological masturbation, if you will.
"This makes absolutely no sense, unless you're complaining that we can't get bogged down in a ground war guerilla quagmire in Somalia, Iran, or North Korea because we're currently in Iraq. Our Air Force and Navy are largely sitting around twiddling their thumbs right now, and I suspect we could fight another aerial Bosnia-type war without extending ourselves by much."
We don't have the money and logistical supply train to sustain another conflict. Our enemies (you know, the real ones that can actually harm us and our interests? Not the trumphed up ones?) know this. Thats why Iran is laughing at us in public and NK is acting like we don't exist. This simply is whats happening, Brosz, no analysis required.
Beyond that, anything else I have to say is already said here

- Your good news was welcome but you never acknowledged the bad.
- Is it your contention that the good news is more newsworthy than the obvious carnage?
- I would have settled for "as newsworthy."

- Yeah right
- I would have settled for "as newsworthy."
- Anyone want to bet that within 2 months the right will be blaming our failure in Iraq on the liberals?
- Watch TV
- Really its not a failure...
- They started blaming the left way before the election.
