You're Going Off The Deep End Robert (Lord Of The Flies)

Please explain where you got I said there was a conspiracy?

Call cut and run jingoism if you want. As a favor to those suffereing from cut and run deranged syndrome (similar to Bush deranged Syndrome) where people babble incoherantly in pavlovian response to simple words I'll stop using that phrase if you honestly deal with the long hand version of what I think it stands for. Think man, stop with the reflex hackles.

Thanks for finally admitting the general liberal attitude around here of STFU towards any opinion they don't like. Well I damn sure don't like hearing failed policies promoted as rational alternatives over and over or people making bullshit excuses for not having solutions or wanting to think of them, but I believe you have a right to speak your opinion along with any other assstrummer.

How many times does it take to get through youir thick skull that I don't give a damn about justifying Bush's actions as some sort of imperative. I take each on a case by case basis and there are many I disagree with. I've expressed concern and doubt about Bush's policies since the fall of Saddam. It falls on deaf ears with you and many others because I refuse to admit the whole concept was strategically wrong (building democracy in the ME, pre-emptive strike) rather than tactically wrong (troup levels, schedules, spending priorities etc). I'm even willing to admit it may have been strategically wrong, but I see too many potential tactical errors to give up on the overall strategy just yet.

The point about Clinton's policies has nothing to do with trying to make Bush look good in comparison. They are about equal failures IMO so far (similar loss of american life) although Clinton absolutely failed (no more chances to prevent 911) and Bush still has history to judge whether his scheme of building ME democracy was a failure or not. It has to do with you and so many others supporting the same policies that failed under Clinton as alternatives. Stop making bullshit excuses for not being able to think outside your liberal box! Clinton's policies failed, Bush's don't look good, but he may yet achieve his goal (although not likely IMO without a change in tactics). People concerned about their country should be concerned about a solution more than about who's at fault. It appears you could care less as long as Bush gets nailed for a failure.

As for "The hostile climate of the last six years has deliberately and violently suppressed all possibility of thinking up better ways". The hostility is on both sides Robert. Funny how you only see this when you're axe isn't being ground. The ditto head comment to Art was about his uncritical support of your comments, not some implication of conspiracy if that is the basis of you delusion. Tribalism is running rampant. There have been logic flaws you could drive a truck through in many liberal posts yet I seldom see you take each other to task.
The same is probably true on the other side, but then both sides may be so anxious to jump the other side that they overlook the flaws in their own. I thought focusing on a way out rather than placing blame might be a way out of this entrenched antagonism but you and several other liberals make that very doubtful.
