The MSM (as defined as NYT and WaPo) heavily endorsed the Iraq war at the beginning, a little factoid TB never seems to remember.

However, he is probably right that that was what the terrorists wanted us to do vis a vis get bogged down in Iraq and generate lots of new recruits.
So, score one for Tom.
