Dear TB

You have stated in several of posts that you have appointed yourself the voice of reason here on the Zone.

Facts, logic, and commonsense are your mantra.

Commonsense, for me is woven with feelings...which by your standards would mean an emotional response.
Commonsense for you is woven with ice in your veins, which by my standards would be cold and heartless. Am I any less commonsensical than you?...I would argue, a resounding NO!...but I know your answer.
Our realities are skewed by our experiences. So commonsense is a subjective statement, ready to be eviscerated by the *reasonable*
Divorce is at an all time high. Commonsense, facts and logic would tell the masses to NOT get married.(and I am still devastated that my daughter has left her husband)
Smoking tells us that it can cause cancer. Yet we continue to smoke.
Commonsense, facts and logic tell us to not overeat, it leads to obesity and a plethora of complications. Obesity is at an all time high.
Facts, logic, and commonsense tell us to not drink and drive. We do.
Commonsense, facts and logic tell me that my 82 year old mother is not responsible for what she says. She still has the ability to make me angry.
Facts, commonsense and logic tells first time parents that their lives will change forever when they bring that tiny human being home, yet they continue to be devastated by the upside down world that the wondrous event brings.
There will always be war. There will always be the threat of war. Commonsense, logic, and facts tell us this. Why do we persist on being horrified with the death and destruction it spews?
Why do we continue to feel betrayed when we are lied to?...when trust has been compromised?...Facts. logic and commonsense tell us that this simply *IS*.

Commonsense, logic and facts tell us death is eminent. We should, by all accounts be prepared for it at any given moment.
Life is hard, difficult and painful. Facts, commonsense, and logic tell us this.

Hmmmmm..why does the human being CONTINUE to try to make life a little easier for our children and ourselves when facts, logic and commonsense tells us that we are fighting a losing battle. To what end ?

Hmmmm.. the human response.It boggles the mind.

This does not compute. This is illogical.
