The investigation was a charade from the beginning. Libby was seized on for an unrelated charge when nothing could be found on the actual targets of the investigation, and after a conviction they threw the book at Libby out of fury more than anything else.

Been watching the boards out there. The Left will spew blood-flecked foam from their mouths for a while, then go back to bemoaning the awful conditions suffered by the terrorists at Guantanamo and demanding freedom for cop killers.
