Any marriage counselor worth their salt would tell you that the last thing you do after you've engaged in infidelity is to admit the deed to your spouse. The problem most of us had with Clinton's acts of perjury are that he perjured himself to questions THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ASKED!!!!!
The witch hunt of Ken Starr was originally supposed to be about Whitewater which, had there been any real substance to those charges, I would've applauded any findings that confirmed the Clintons to be sleazebags (which I was kinda believing at the time). However, as time went on and Whitewater moved off the radar and more and more shady charges started coming out of the woodwork, it was apparent to me and a whole lot of other people that there truly was some political force trying not to serve justice but instead to emasculate a powerful and charismatic leader. I didn't get that from liberal talking points either. It was absolutely friggin obvious.
We all knew that he had dallied with other women in his life before Ken Starr ever became a household name. One look at Hillary and you knew a man that powerful and with that big of an ego needed more in his life. I'm pretty certain though that with his public and successful persona, he had no need to force sex on anyone, especially the women he supposedly picked.
Now, if it had been the National Inquirer finding out these sordid little details of Billy's dalliances, what the heck, let em go for it. But for a federal special prosecutor to be subpoenaing cum-stained dresses and tracking down scorned women holding a grudge because they thought they had a shot at greatness only to find they were just another conquest, was macabre and just plain silly.
No Tom, we're not going to let you rewrite history here. You know my aversion to the Clintons but what they were charged with paled in comparison to what we allege about your guy. People are dying because of his dishonesty and our Constitution is being left in the dust. Take your analogies and stuff them.
