re: Dry facts
Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!

I am anything but emotionless. If you were able to integrate broader ranges of information, you'd know that already from other posts and issues.
You are defending a dying and corrupt administration (have no idea why).
You probably never will. I'm not defending a person. I'm defending a set of basic principles, and opposing another set of basic principles (or lack thereof). I have been doing this consistently since I was old enough to know something about principles. When Bush departs from those principles, I hit him as hard as anyone else does.
Given all that, and even with what I know now, I would still vote for Bush again over the Democratic choices I was given at the time. You can't understand why, because you aren't looking beyond the surfaces.
In 2008, given the almost certain lineup of Democratic candidates, I will vote for the Republican again. There are things I don't like about each of the possible Republicans, and in one or two cases, a lot of things I don't like.
But the alternatives are much worse for someone with my views on individual rights, political and economic freedom, and support of Western ideals.
