The last resort: "Any information you bring to the table has to be a lie." At least you didn't gibber something about three-quarters of Americans getting their health care from the government.
That isn't the only poll with that kind of result. There have been a number of them. I'm sorry it doesn't meet your pre-conceived notions or your anecdotal experience. Frankly, the latter is not useful as a real data point. Do you honestly think your friends and acquaintances would be telling you at length about NOT having a problem with their medical care? Do people go to reporters and trial lawyers and tell them all about the great service they got at a hospital?
This "crisis" is largely being engineered. There is a goal to this, which is complete control of the medical industry from top to bottom by the same people telling you day in and day out that this is a crisis. You might note the similiarity with the climate issue and several others.
And frankly, I've had it up to my eyebrows with "not wanting the government to run everything" being considered absolutely equivalent to "not wanting anyone to get decent medical care." Talk about your binary thinking, and even with binary thinking, these aren't even logical alternatives, considering what actually happens to people where the State does run everything. You want compassion? How about not wanting Americans to wind up with a universally subsistence-level medical care system?
