"They turn down certain treatments and operations, especially for older folks, all the time in Germany because the "socialized" system becomes inhuman and uncaring and after living so many years and using the socialized services, the doctors and administrators feel you've already been "enough of a burden" on the system. "

Is this true? It reminds me of that movie, Logan's Run.
