Calling the shots

So Tom, you're in a hole here now. You've just said you'd rather have an insurance company making decision s when their profit margin is based on how many claims and procedures they can deny instead of a political entity that does not have profit as a motive but instead political power. Just what kind of political power is a leader going to have running a system that's causing constituents to not be served?

I just don't get the logic. I guess so far you've just not been personally hit by your valued insurance telling you they won't cover a vital procedure and sticking you with hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills.

I guess you've simply worked your entire life without any benefit from the social advantages of our country to be able to purchase the top of the line coverage (probably a lot like the plans covering our top politicians). Wow, I just have to bow down to your impeccable work ethic and responsibility to have just done it all on your own. You should be very proud. As your reward you should never have to pay a dime in taxes again. We'll ensure your children will never have to die in a war. Oh, and if you want you can buy a lot in downtown LA and build a plywood shack to live in. We'll call off the building inspectors. And by all means send your children to any state university on us. You deserve it. All you libertarian patriots do. Hell, if you're hungry we'll just invade Mexico for you and take their crops and their oil since it'd be easy. We've all got it coming. Those damn brown-skinned leeches have been taking advantage of us for too long. They look like terrorists too.

And then, just so you never lose a political argument again, we'll let you control all our governmental statistics. With that kind of clout and power you should be able to buy up all the media. It's free speech right? If you pay for it, nobody should be able to interfere with you. By retirement you should have enough saved up to buy Yellowstone. Under a truly Libertarian society government can't own land so those places will be there for the highest bidder. Oil wells would look so nice next to those geysers.

Darn shame though that about the time your true libertarian/conservative lifestyle comes to fruition, it'll be about time for you and all your goose-stepping buddies to be sucked up in the rapture.

Ain't America grand?
