300,000,000 Americans
x
$15,000 allotment expenditure per year in universal healthcare

If everyone just had 15,000 dollars worth of medical expenses per year associated with their healthcare the bill would be 4.5 trillion dollars.
The reality is that $15000 would only cover regular check ups, minor prescription medicines and perhaps a set of braces for your teeth.
Include serious operations and expenses are going to quadruple that expenditure - at the very minimum. Now you're looking at about 18 trillion dollars in yearly expenditures.
Now, take into account that people are currently putting off operations, prescriptions and all sorts of stuff because of cost and you will see that figure at least DOUBLE and probably QUADRUPLE again! (as everyone gets that costly medicine for their arthritic knees and for their suspected bipolar symptom disorder, paranoia, depression, incontinence - what have you) Now we're looking at anywhere from 36 to 72 trillion dollars.
That's as far as I need to take it to illustrate that universal healthcare only works in tiny countries with populations that are only a fraction that of the USA. And even in these countries, they turn down treatment just like insurance companies. They turn down certain treatments and operations, especially for older folks, all the time in Germany because the "socialized" system becomes inhuman and uncaring and after living so many years and using the socialized services, the doctors and administrators feel you've already been "enough of a burden" on the system.
Now you've seen the numbers. It won't work. It can't work and everyone on the left is simply engaging in pie-in-the-sky fantasies that are more than the equal of Lenin's promised "worker's paradise".
It's self-delusion and an escape mechanism extraordinaire - like imagining you're entitled to win the lottery.
