Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
Carmakers are developing cars that run on hydrogen. They are IGNORING the hydrogen supply problem. They are assuming either the government will solve that problem, or the hydrogen will come from hydrocarbon reformers, in other words the same place gasoline comes from: fossil fuels.
Malthus wasn't proven wrong. In fact he was proven right. Darwin's theory was inspired by Malthus, and evolution is a fact of life. One of the main elements of natural selection is that a species will always have more offspring than can possibly survive. They will consume their resources until they are depleted, then they will starve to death en-mass. In this way, humans are proving to be identical to every other animal on earth.
