I would like the freedom to choose the car I want. What is wrong with adding a new choice to the menu? I'm not suggesting that SUVs should be eliminated, even though I know they will be eventually, through market forces as you suggest. Look at the success of small cars made by foreign car makers, lost market share by Ford, GM and Chrysler.
