Prototypes always comes before production. That is how you work out the technology and get it ready for commercialization. As an engineer you should know that.
I know why you support Zubrin and hate hydrogen. Because it has the promise to prove you and the rest of you radical environmentalsist WRONG again. Instead of being forced to adopt your "environmentally corect" lifestyle it will give individuals the fredom to choose the one they like. I know that drives environmentalists like you crazy, freedom of choice, but that is the core value of both capitalism and Anerica.
Inventors have been pushing tricycle cars for 70 years and NONE have caught on with the American public even thought they require NO technology breakthrough. What part of that statement don't you understand? That is how a free market works in capitalism. You offer it something and the public chooses it or not.
Hydrogen will allow Amereicans to dirve the big SUVs and fast cars they want, not the dinky ones the environmentalists think they should drive. You and Zubrin need to live with that, or move someplace where the government, not hte people, make the choice of how you will live.
