What you've described in your post is Pan-Islam. You described it quite well.
Iraq is part of Pan-Arabia, the enemy of Pan-Islam.
Why do you think Saddam was fighting the Iranians in the 80's? Who do you think the women in Iraq DON'T walk three steps behind the men?
