Its why I personnally think that the idea of "rules in war" is genuinely stupid, inconsistent, illogical and in the end doesn't help anything. But thats just me.

So the rules of war should go.

I didn't say that did I? Nope. But let look at the rules:

If: White flag = surrender = don't shoot.
Then: enemy pretends to surrender so at to get close enough to launch an attack at you.

If: Church/Hospital/School = civilian = Don't bomb
Then: Enemy sets up Headquarters in Church/Hospital/School

If: Civilian = noncombatant = don't shoot
Then: Enemy dresses up as civilian or straps thier kid with dynamite so as to blow you up.

I didn't say they need to go, but at the same time, not applying rules is wrong, but applying them is stupid. Wrong or stupid, take your pick.

Its like that soldier who didn't search the car full of grenades because the driver told him "my wife is in the hospital". Stupid. Great guy, but stupid.

In reality it is a balance between the two. I just think that denying ouselves the use of certain weapons is too far on the stupid end.
