Shoehorned??

Lord, it is getting more and more difficult to communicate through the dimensional portal.

What's silly is another liberal crying "my stars, he's trying to shoehorn me". Leave out the part about peaceniks if you are offended by it. I honestly did not have you in mind but I have heard admitted "peaceniks" advance the same logic. The statement stands up fine without the parenthetical remark. One could easily argue that there is no way to ethically conduct a war if you are intent on winning.

So WMD effects are indiscriminate. Is that like a machine gun fired in the wrong time and place or a catapult fired over city walls? Surely it includes flame throwers and hand grenades. Is the use of napalm in an isolated military setting better or worse than flaming arrows fired into a barn occupied by a few soldiers plus women and children?

My definition of terrorism involves violence committed directly against civilians. I would agree that it is defined by actions but I disagree that the definition can be expanded to include virtually any act of violence so that the term becomes meaningless.

It is not a big deal really, you can define terrorism anyway you choose and I'll do the same. How we define a word does not effect the fundamental morality of a particular act. Isn't there an old saying "I may not be able to explain (whatever) but I know it when I see it.
