One thing you said, in all of that glop, was meaningful

Yours is indeed a bad rant.

"When we have a rip-roaring fire rage through these parts. We aren't expecting the Feds to be the first on the scene. We expect local efforts coordinated often with other states fire crews and equipment if and when the situation is beyond the state's capacity to deal with."

Yes, A fire. Around your parts. a fire versus a storm scourging several thousand square miles with hurricaine force winds and wiping out one of americas largest cities, causeing roughly 1/5th of 1 trillion dollars.

And you had a fire.

Not that federal authorities were not involved with fire-fighting teams from all around america.

Now, aren't you guys the very picture Republican Self-Sufficiency.

This is nearly as funny as your 'hate' rants.

"Few people are foolish enough to think they can "ride out" a fire and so in this instance 30,000 people could be evacuated with no problems by local officials. Whether it be an approaching fire or an approaching hurricane, folks have sufficient time to evacuate if the locals and local officials are smart enough to cooperate and follow plans set will in advance."

30,000? How impressive! It appears New Orleans alone outdid you by a factor of 10

And how long did that fire burn through those 1,000 square kilometers, vs how long did Katrina target NO?

This is silly. Apples and oranges, tea and coffee, fires and, um, hurricaines....

"What partisans like yourself "

Sez you, the party line, to me. This is really a hoot.

"What partisans like yourself are going to create out of the Katrina hurricane is a hugely bloated, more intrusive FEMA that can levy fines and use force in the application of evacuation."

No, I'll settle for one that works. Its worked before. Many times.

"This was a regional Democrat fumble. They blew it and blew it big time. "

Blame the locals and only the locals, says the party line.

Look, the rest of this is mindless hyperbolic emotional frothiong-at-the-mouth tirade and slop, not worth my time. I'll stop here.

Bye Bye.

DL

ps, this is priceless. This really belongs in the hollow halls of empty rhetoric:

The whole left response to Katrina has been asinine and continues to be asinine. It is symptomatic of the childish socialist need to have mommy or daddy clean their ass every time they soil themselves.

Grow up.

Oh, its that mirror-principle-thingie at wok again, eh techie? I just wonder why you are all riled up. Hmmm. I just wonder.
