"You see, that's a lie. It was propagated by the media, run by the Democrats, and is still stuck to the wall out there, despite everything I've posted to prove it wrong. And that's why this is so frustrating to me, and why I'm making a stink about it long after it shouldn't even be an issue any more."
You CLAIM to have posted information to the contrary, but all I have seen are laughable appologist BLOGS. Its pretty clear to everyone that FEMA was deluded about what would happen when most of the rest of the world knew exactly what was going to happen. Its clear based on primary sources and interviews in the days after the events that FEMA did not actually know the salient details about what was going on. Its clear that their response after the storm was intensely sloppy and disorganized.
You can tell me all day long that you 'have proved your point', but thats just the Mark Eby/SDAI style of argument. Until you actually prove your case, you have not proved your case. References to 1000 opinions and crummy poorly made arguments on the internet amounts to a hill of beans.
I have given you interviews with Chertoff, Brown and others where they have been massivle confused over the details of whats going on. I have given you sources to experts vertically and horizontally arranged that knew that NOLA levees would fail. I have pointed out the time that this storm was first predicted to strike NOLA and pointed out the lack of preparedness on the part of ALL ORGANIZATIONS, federla and local.
What you want to do is nod your head 'yes' on the local part and refuse to accept the same facts being applied to the federal. Its dishonesty, and you are contributing to a real problem with our governance.

- One thing you said, in all of that glop, was meaningful

- Agreed, start to finish
- go ahead, blame Bush.
- For non-response by an agency administered by the Executive branch of which he is the head? Sure!
- go ahead, blame Bush.
- Levee failure
- This is silly
- what preparation would have prevented the levy failure?

- for every thread, spin,spin,spin
- Lets assume everyone knew the levy was going to fail 60-70 hours before Katrina.
- Thats sort of the point- they *should* have known the levees were going to fail 36-48 hours out, and ended up doing nothing
