There were serious problems with planning, coordination, response and information handling on the federal level, proceeding all the way up, and down, the chain of command. This is a manifest failure. This has to be dealt with, if you are at all rational, at the end of the day- this has to be dealt with.
While you find deep offense that blame was laid at the federal feet within hours of the levees failing and things going to hell, I take great offense that blame avoidance and 'Not my/their fault! Not my/thier defined repsonsibility!' has been yelled at top volume by the administration and their shills since the storm hit the ground.
Okay, so fine, lets call it equal. I'll see your partisan hacks with my mindless shills. Now lay your cards down and lets see what you got.
If you're not a 'buttmonkey' [sic], you'll insist that the problems at all levels be addressed. Thats what I have yet hear from you, Tom. Thats why you are indestinguishable, as far as I am concerned, from those in the 'get Bush!!!' armada. I see you out for political points every bit as much as they are.
At the end of the day, the government exists to serve the needs of the people.

- for every thread, spin,spin,spin
- Lets assume everyone knew the levy was going to fail 60-70 hours before Katrina.
- Thats sort of the point- they *should* have known the levees were going to fail 36-48 hours out, and ended up doing nothing
