What did you expect him to do, show up, bite his lip, and say he feels their pain? That's a stupid Democrat trick that accomplishes nothing except to give their guy some TV face time. Besides, some of the same people who were complaining that Bush didn't show up then turned around and complained about the disruption to the rescue effort when he did show up. In other words, anything and everything is an opportunity to complain about Bush.
In the meantime, it wasn't Bush that blocked the Red Cross from entering LA. It wasn't Bush that failed so miserably in the rescue effort, nor was it him that let over 200 school buses get flooded. It wasn't Bush that hindered efforts to get in relief supplies, either. FEMA is just another federal government agency. It works about an inefficiently as any other federal government agency. Anyone who expects the federal government (other than the military) to be the first responder to a disaster is a fool. Too bad that the good people of Lousianna have state and local governments largely filled with corrupt incompetents, but that's what happens after decades of solidly Democrat controlled government.
Clinton's impeachment was about perjury and obstruction of justice. You can keep repeating the lie about it being about sex all you want, but it'll never be the truth.

- Agreed, start to finish
- go ahead, blame Bush.
- For non-response by an agency administered by the Executive branch of which he is the head? Sure!
- go ahead, blame Bush.
- Levee failure
- This is silly
- what preparation would have prevented the levy failure?

- for every thread, spin,spin,spin
- Lets assume everyone knew the levy was going to fail 60-70 hours before Katrina.
- Thats sort of the point- they *should* have known the levees were going to fail 36-48 hours out, and ended up doing nothing
