From an earlier post:
Thats a hell of a lot more than what the feds did all the way up through 4-5 days after the storm.
You see, that's a lie. It was propagated by the media, run by the Democrats, and is still stuck to the wall out there, despite everything I've posted to prove it wrong. And that's why this is so frustrating to me, and why I'm making a stink about it long after it shouldn't even be an issue any more.
BTW, most people seem to have failed to notice that FEMA has operated quite well since its reorganization.
Try and find one story claiming a systemic organizational failure for FEMA's treatment of Hurricane Dennis, just a couple of months ago. Or go here, and look up the disasters since the creation of the Homeland Security Department. Any New York Times stories on how badly they did? Any congressmen demanding an investigation?
Did you see one news article on FEMA's, or Michael Brown's incompetence during the entire 2004 hurricane season? One of the worst in history up until then?

- Agreed, start to finish
- go ahead, blame Bush.
- For non-response by an agency administered by the Executive branch of which he is the head? Sure!
- go ahead, blame Bush.
- Levee failure
- This is silly
- what preparation would have prevented the levy failure?

- for every thread, spin,spin,spin
- Lets assume everyone knew the levy was going to fail 60-70 hours before Katrina.
- Thats sort of the point- they *should* have known the levees were going to fail 36-48 hours out, and ended up doing nothing
