How can Iraq be a "free society"?
We don't have enough American troops to protect them all.
And I realize you are optimistic and hope for the best, but Saddam ruled with an iron fist, and that's what it took to keep that society on track.
Barbarism? Yes, but then look at it's aftermath. There is no peace, no safey and radical muslims are everywhere.
People may now FEEL the notion of this freedom, and THAT will work well in the generations to come. At this point, there are too many things working against it.
