But it took more than courage by itself to secure our freedom. It was war that actually gave us our freedom.

The Revolutionary war formed America. It wouldnâ€™t have just happened.

The Civil War freed the slaves.

WWII freed Europe from the Nazis.

And in Iraq, we have freed millions of Iraqis from the clutches of a murderous dictator.

All of those people were freed by war. War is ugly, war is nasty, but sometime it is the only way to free people from those who oppose their freedom.
