re:Geopolitics

Bush father knew Saddam as a secular dictator and that would prevent the spreading of islamist fundamentalism.
The road is now wide open for them, thanks to his son. They"re the ones willing to blow themselves up and hijack planes not for ransom or seeking asylum in another country but to have as many innocent victims as possible.
I'm pretty sure Bush father did not ask the Kurds to attack Saddam; this is something they thought they could do.

Besides, it's all a matter of responsabilty. Bush father did not perpetrate the massacres; Saddam did, so it was his rsponsability, not Bush senior's.
But invading Iraq 12 years later, when Saddam wasn't a threat, is entirely Bush junior's responsability...With the 2250 US deaths, the 12,000 wounded and the more than 30,000 Iraqi deaths.
