I've acknowledged Bowser as much as he deserves. It's a baby step in the direction of reason, but no more than that.

Nice edit on your quote:

"Gratuitous violence, killing the helpless, even under those circumstances, such as beheading a hostage, is terrorism. The perpetrators should be tried as criminals."
"

Full quote:

""War was forced upon the Iraqi people in 2003. War was not forced upon the American people. It is legitimate for the Iraqis to fight back. Gratuitous violence, killing the helpless, even under those circumstances, such as beheading a hostage, is terrorism. The perpetrators should be tried as criminals. Dropping 500 pound bombs on a city is terrorism, and the people who order that done should be tried for crimes against humanity."
"

So Islamists INTENTIONALLY targeting and killing innocents with great brutality is "criminal," while Americans targeting combatants and UNITENTIONALLY killing innocents is a "crime against humanity." Both are horrible, but I think intent counts for something.

Example: The insurgents blowing up American Army convoys with roadside bombs are targeting combatants and are not as bad as the Al Qaeda bombers blowing up markets and mosques crowded with Iraqi civilians. What do you think is worse?
