"Freedom requires religion" (Mitt Romney)
Ok wingers (see this is where a label like that belongs). One of your top guys in the presidential race is quoted in a CNN Article saying the following:
"Freedom requires religion, just as religion requires freedom. Freedom opens the windows of the soul so that man can discover his most profound beliefs and commune with God. Freedom and religion endure together, or perish alone,"
Obviously, as an atheist, I have a bit of a hard time believing this GOP front runner's contention unless he means that non-believers will never be free from religious idiots meddling in their life. I might buy that.
If one of you from the "dark side" could please explain the truthiness in this statement, I'd be eternally (well until my heart starts beating. There is no eternal in atheism) grateful.
