Well...

...Pearl Harbor would never have happened if we had acted like a neutral nation. The lend lease act was pure provocation. FDR & Churchill willed us into WWII.

Had we a GOP President when stuff broke out over there - we never would have gotten involved. I've posted articles from conservative mags that demonstrated how dead set against entering the war most GOP members were.

And while that may seem like a frightful thing, I don't think it would have been. A cold war with Russia would've been replaced by a cold war with a German empire.

The possibilities are infinite to how such a world would evolve. In an ideal scenario, America would become the role model that leads to reformation.

To say that this is the most perfect of worlds because we participated in WWII is sheer folly as well. You can bet the atom bomb would not have been developed for perhaps another 50 or 100 years in such a scenario - perhaps never. This timeline we're in still has to go through its "everybody's nuclear" history, the atomic wars are almost inevitable and they are coming, faster now that the cold war is over. I give it a 150 years or less until a major nuclear exchange occurs. How the world responds to such, and suffers through such will determine to whether man finally abandons nuclear weaponry for good.

One could lay all that's coming at the hands of FDR and his "New Dealers" along with social security, personal income tax, etc.
