And money, like it or not, does help lots of people put food on the table, pay doctor bills and the mortgage. Not everyone is a veteran and a broad tax cut, returning money to the people, helps lots more than any individual special interest, government controlled, poorly managed program.

As for folks with their brains "permanently wired to the whacko channel" you'll have to excuse me as I smile - we all fit that description in one way or another.

Yes, the VA is poorly managed, has been poorly run and has poorly served the folks it was designed to serve. That is all the more reason not to trust the Federal Government with anything important.

Privatize these organizations, enable them to run as non-profits and receive tax-deductible donations and many folks would be better served.
