Seems odd...

The Democratic leader of the Senate is a Mormon, yet this seems to bother nobody in the least.

My theory, expressed elsewhere, is that Democrats and liberals know perfectly well that Democratic politicians wear their religion like a hat, able to put it on or take it off depending on the crowd, and there's no real belief there. So, no threat. Think I'm right?
