So Typical

It is absolute bullshit to say what Bill and Hillary believed is irrelevant. You had a Democratic admin with a very different agenda believing the same thing. It is preposterous to claim that a new president comes in and makes a false claim on fabricated evidence when the previous administrations evidence cause them to reach the same conclusion. Evidence which they passed on to the new administration. In the case of Al-quieda they gave the advice we didn't do anything, but you should.

You are quite correct we need to know why the intelligence was wrong and I'll concede Bush may have made his case with a once sided presentation of teh evidence, but I have no doubt he believed the risk of Saddam having WMD was very high because both the previous admin did and I myself did based on following Saddams obstruction of the UN inspections for a decade before Bush ever took office. Bush's conclusions were not based on an entirely new or different set of data. Some of the doubts about certain data probably existed in Clinton's admin as well yet he still believed based on the preponderance of evidence. I think the key problem was that the context of Saddam's behavior made it easy to believe evidence that said he was hiding something, but hard to believe contradictory data.

Once again debating such issues does not constitute treason. Calling Bush a liar when you know he's not can be viewed as knowingly providing support to the terrorists. If you have any brains you know the terrorists have no hope of militarily defeating the US. Their only hope is to weaken our political will. Domestic attempts to weaken our political will just because you want to beat Bush in the next election based on intentionally lieing is most definitely knowingly helping the terrorists for no reason other than selfish interest. I will not vote for a democrat who engages in such crap and I fervently hope for a Democrat I can vote for far more so than I did in the case of Bush 1.

Mark
