I don't really care what you call it. I though it was a conservative position so I called it that. You say I'm right now but took exception to that claim earlier. Does "Do you speak for all conservatives?" in response to me calling it the conservative position ring a bell? A maneuver worthy of DL Grondine not a moderator.

I was willing to concede possible error since I wasn't getting conservative support. Once again you demonstrate the damned if you do and damned if you don't attitude typical of your side of the debate on this issue. Add it to the list of ridiculous once sided attitudes along with it's OK if we flame but not you and the we are free to speak but not you attitudes. You pounce on me for inconsistency while ignoring your own when I'm just trying to be fair to the real conservatives in the zone who did not join the fight. Pretty silly and petty Robert. Perhaps DL is rubbing off on you from close association in this fight.

The two main issues are that I support Gary's right to hold the view he expressed (and I don't think it was an unreasonable one) and that I don't approve of the way you handled the situation because you are the uber moderator. You can vote all you want. That's a political/ social process not one that is necessarily rational. The moderators also voted that you were without fault although in a brief spasm of reflective self assessment now rapidly fading you seemed to admit you should have handled the situation differently. I can give you plenty of examples of voting not necessarily being based on reason or being right and you already dodged the negative implications of you acting like it was once.

Nothing was settled. I got busy and you all declared victory and patted yourself on the backs for weak and contradictory (with the exception of Mary Anne) arguements. What I listed is what your arguements boil down to in a nutshell. If they sound absurd it's because they are. I agree completely. If they do not accurately reflect you opinions then you need to seriously look at your comments with a moderator's attitude rather than a liberal's. You guys did argue against using dictionary definitions of treason. You did try and stifle Gary's speech while supporting the right to make inflamatory comments against the US. You did refuse to deal with the basic aiding and providing comfort to the enemy issue, never once admitting it was a reasonable basis for the charge of treason. The lack of honesty and accountability amongst you is pathetic.

Your recent comments seemed to show you finally got the moderator issues, but your "violently spun comment" brings that into question. Did you change your mind again or did you just mean the other items on the list?
