What part of I don't pay much attention to moderator announcements did you not get? I pay attention if they're directed at me. Since I try to abide by the rules and don't get rapped much I don't really worry about them much. I don't recall any being directed at me since the ones I nominated + others came on board (one of the few times I paid much attention to moderator related posts). It was always obvious by context when Robert was speaking to me as moderator. I didn't need a name rule to get it.

Unfortunately by context this time I thought Robert was also speaking to Gary as moderator initially. Since It's kind of obvious I was clueless on that issue It might have been a good idea to correct a real misunderstanding rather than instigate arguements based on ignoring dictionaries. Robert quickly clarified that he wasn't speaking as moderator, but you all let the issue of why the misunderstanding occurred drag out. I might have been unclear, but if you had actually tried to get to the root of the issue rather than circling the wagons I'm sure it could have been dealt with a lot easier.
