Make up your own mind on whether or not it is the conservative view and don't bother to tell me because I don't care whether or not you can quit being schizoid on the issue. I'm quite willing to concede the term conservative view may not be accurate. I don't claim to be a conservative, and disagree with them on many issues so feel I have no real right to argue what their position is. You have provided all the proof I need that I made a reasonable assumption in calling it that, but I have 0 desire to argue that issue. You are the one obfuscating the issues by focusing on this nonissue.

The issues I care about are Gary's and any other posters right to express their views on treason and your inappropriate attempt as a moderator to squelch those views. GB is quite correct that the whole debate on all sides is somewhat bogus in that Gary did not actually accuse anyone of treason. So you can blame the right to call treason arguement solely on me even if I did think I was defending Gary initially.
