We know Bill Clinton is a liar, and we know that Presidents in the past could be said to be evasive and deceptive.

Bush strength is that has high favorable rating in trustability and telling the truth, it is because this fact as shown in the polls, that Dems try to attack this aspect. This is the only factor behind leading Dems claiming that Bush is a liar. If the American public mostly liked Bush because he was good looking, they instead would be telling you how ugly he looked.

Bush is not a President that sleeps around like Clinton and JFK. He is not cripple in poor health, pretending he healthy, nor someone who says they are keeping America out of war, but is involving America in the war [FDR]. We know Bush does not drink excessive amounts of alcohol. The press would love find something Bush is not telling the truth about, but they have failed. The press is not going to give Bush a pass if he for instance needed to take drugs for pain- like JFK for his back problem- JFK was so drugged up, it was a reasonable concern regarding his ability to function as President.

Politicans are going to sell things, a simply example could be to say the future looks bright that Americans are wonderful people. I'm saying that the truth is that future is bleak or Americans are bunch of assholes. Rather a more truthful statement might the future is unknowable and Americans are human beings with various vices and virtues [who can be insanely partisan, and extremely vicious if they get pissed off- in other words, they are typical humans].

The reality is that Bush has been accusing being liar, ALL of these have been false accusations.
For clue in this regard, look at the people who are accusing Bush of lying. Where are serious and somber people, people who isn't senile don't hide behind the cover of being ironic or other "poetic licenses" [I'm a reporter just reporting the facts, Dan Rather] .
