Colin Powell and his sidekick, Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage had been making sure the heroin lines from Afganistan were open and running. And before that, it was south-east Asia. They have a long history together. They say they are like "brothers" to each other. Armitage is known for his his bench presses and strong hands which he says he likes to strangle his opponents with, literally. Nice guy to have sitting around the oval office. Keeps everyone in line. An OLD buddy and confidante of George Bush Sr.
These two, along with the Clintons have been involved high political drug dealing for decades. It's easy to control them by threatening to make any one a patsy at any time. Look at what happened to Vince Foster. (Remember Hilary's face in the days following his "suicide"?)
During Bush's second speech to the nation (maybe the third) when he had publicly admonished Powell for going against his decisions in the Iraq war, Powell was steaming mad as the cameras rolled and GWB walked past him without shaking his hand.
Powell seemed to be biting his lip and entertaining dangerous thoughts.
He was furious, but controlled.
Oh yeah.
