This was a soveriegn nation protected by international law. INTERNATIONAL LAW. (We have rules like that in a civilized society.) We invaded due to trumped up charges made to look more important than they were, as an excuse to grab it's natural resources and for us to put a permanent military base on it's land. You had a small group of men who thought this way and moved on it when they saw an opening to advance.

Al Queda was small in comparison to the thousands upon thousands of "terrorists" WE now have created. After 9/11, the whole world would have worked woth us to ferret out their cells, now they need a different handbook, and it's thicker and meaner. GWB has put MORE people at risk, everywhere.

Iraq was the world's hornet's nest. But it was INTACT and busy all by itself. If you have a hornet's nest up in a tree in your back yard, you know it is there and that it can be excised at any time. You don't go in with a baseball bat and smash it around. You don't try and educate it or make it a better hornet's nest.

And especially you don't appear in a baseball outfit and tell everyone your "Mission's Acoomplished" after spreading out the hornets in a hundred different directions, all madder than hell at not having a home for themselves and looking for the guy with the baseball bat.
